Quelle:Online sources are connecting the Avatar star to Ian Fleming’s famed British super-spy, while other rumors suggest Daniel Craig might be on the way out. According to Digital Spy, the Australian Worthington has been named by betting agencies as the most likely star to replace Craig, who starred in 2006’s Casino Royale and 2008’s Quantum of Solace.

But if the rumors of Craig being replaced are true, it would be a terrific opportunity for Worthington, who also co-starred in last summer’s Terminator Salvation. While his facial features aren’t quite as chiseled as Craig’s, he would certainly be able to handle all the physical aspects required by the role.
So far, singer Cheryl Cole and Slumdog Millionaire actress Freida Pinto have been touted as the new Bond girls, while scribe Peter Morgan, who had been hired to co-write Bond 23, promised the film would contain a "shocking" story.
If Craig does depart the role, that would already equal a major twist, though given that he truly owned the character for the past two films — with many people of the opinion that he was the best Bond since Sean Connery — it may be a bit premature to put Craig out to 007 pasture.
